This Chironomid (midge) pattern is an effective attractor chironomid pattern. It is tied with a tungsten white bead head on a curved nymph or emerger nymph hook and a body of wine and opal. The opal is the key attractor as it will flash in sunlight. The fly represents the pupa state of the chironomid (midge) which is available throughout the open water season. Fish them under an indicator on a floating line or deep on a full sink line
